Mark serves as a Portfolio Manager at Bearing Point Capital and is a member of the firm's Investment Committee. In this role, he helps shape the firm's investment philosophy and oversees portfolio construction, asset allocation, risk management, and trading to implement firmwide strategies and deliver customized client portfolios.
With 15 years of industry experience, Mark is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charter holder and an active member of both the CFA Institute and CFA Society of Minnesota. He began his career as an equity research analyst at a Minneapolis-based investment bank, where he spent seven years. In 2019, he transitioned to the advisory side, serving as a portfolio analyst at Royal Bank of Canada and later as an investment strategist at a mid-sized Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) in Minneapolis. Mark holds a bachelor's degree in Finance and Quantitative Economics from the University of Minnesota.
Mark also serves on the Board of Directors for Normandale Community College, where he supports the institution's mission to provide affordable, high-quality education and pathways to meaningful employment or continued study. His work includes fundraising, strategic oversight, and helping to address barriers such as food and housing insecurity so students can focus on their education and future success.
Mark lives in Bloomington with his wife and three young daughters. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family—whether at the playground, on the backyard trampoline, at basketball games, or fitting in a round of family golf whenever they can all squeeze onto the cart.
